A Clean Path Begins with Attention
Written for Bible Journey Plan. Our editorial standards.
Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psalm 119:9 KJV
The choices that shape a life are often smaller than the occasions people call important. A private message, a search, a joke, or a moment of dishonesty can establish a direction long before anyone notices a pattern.
God's Word gives young people a dependable guide. Taking heed means more than having access to a Bible. It means paying attention and letting its truth govern what you allow into your mind and what you choose to do.
Build sensible protections into ordinary life. Use devices where appropriate accountability is available. Leave a conversation that is becoming corrupt. Speak to a trusted adult when temptation, pressure, or exposure to harmful material feels difficult to manage.
Purity is not earned by pretending you have never struggled. Christ saves sinners, and believers grow through repentance, grace, and obedient choices. If you have fallen, bring the matter into the light and seek help. The next faithful step still matters. Learn Scripture carefully enough to recognize its direction when a decision arrives. A clean path is walked one choice at a time under the guidance of a trustworthy Lord.
Keep the passage in context
