Statement of Faith

Bible Journey Plan is built upon the conviction that the Bible is the Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice. This summary identifies the doctrinal principles that guide the site’s articles, devotionals, and tools.

The Scriptures

We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God, true and trustworthy, and sufficient for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Bible Journey Plan uses the King James Version for every Scripture quotation. References: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:89.

The one true God

We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost—distinct in person and one in divine being. He is holy, sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful, and worthy of all worship. References: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, God manifest in the flesh. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, lived without sin, died as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to Heaven, and will come again. Sin and salvation

We believe every person is a sinner and cannot earn acceptance with God. Salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work—not by works, religious ceremony, or human merit. The believer is justified by faith and receives everlasting life. References: Romans 3:23–26; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8–10; John 3:16–18.

The Holy Ghost and Christian growth

We believe the Holy Ghost convicts of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, indwells every believer, and empowers holy living and service. Spiritual growth is not self-produced; it develops as believers abide in Christ, yield to the Spirit, receive the Word, pray, obey, and walk in fellowship with a sound local church. The local church

We believe the local church is a congregation of baptized believers joined together for worship, doctrine, fellowship, prayer, the ordinances, evangelism, and the Great Commission. Baptism by immersion follows salvation as a testimony of faith; the Lord’s Supper remembers Christ’s death until He comes. Christian life and future hope

We believe Christians are called to holiness, love, truth, prayer, service, witness, and separation from sin. We believe in the bodily resurrection, final judgment, everlasting life with Christ for the redeemed, and everlasting punishment for the lost.
