Comparison Changes the Picture

Comparison often selects the best visible moment in someone else's life and places it beside the part of yours you most dislike. The result feels convincing because you forget how uneven the comparison was.

Envy can turn friends into rivals and blessings into evidence against God. Proverbs warns about the inward damage. This is not an explanation for every illness or struggle; it is a call to take the heart seriously.

Notice what repeated comparison is doing to you. If a feed keeps provoking resentment, step away from it. Speak well of the person you have begun to envy. Work faithfully at your own responsibilities without demanding an identical result. God has not asked you to become someone else's carefully selected picture.
