The Crooked Tower

Ben bumped the table, and Ava's block tower fell. Ava opened her mouth to shout. Ben looked at the scattered blocks and stepped back.
Ava took a breath. She told him she was upset because the tower had taken a long time. Ben said he was sorry and asked to help. Together they built a wider bottom so the next tower would stand better.
Proverbs teaches us that a soft answer can turn away anger. Soft does not mean whispering or pretending nothing happened. Ava told the truth without trying to hurt Ben with her words.
When something goes wrong today, say what happened calmly. Angry words can knock down more than a tower.
