Tomorrow's Rain Boots

The class picnic was on Friday. On Tuesday, Lucy put her rain boots by the door and asked if it would rain. On Wednesday, she asked again. By Thursday, she hardly wanted to pack her lunch.
Dad helped her check what she needed. Then they set the bag beside her boots. They had done what could be done that evening. Lucy still did not know the weather, but she could enjoy reading with her little brother.
Jesus teaches His people not to let tomorrow's worries take over today. He knows we need food, clothing, and care. We can make good plans and trust our heavenly Father with what we cannot control. Lucy left the boots by the door and opened the storybook. Tomorrow's weather did not need to take away tonight's kindness.
A small step for today
Tomorrow may have jobs you cannot do today. Give attention to what is in front of you now. Do the right thing, receive help, and trust your heavenly Father with what comes next. Making a simple plan is useful. Worrying over every possible problem does not make tomorrow arrive with fewer things to do.

Jesus addresses anxious concern about daily provision and directs His disciples to seek God's kingdom and righteousness. He does not forbid responsible planning or promise a life without hardship.
