Keep an Extra Place in Mind

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Romans 12:13 KJV
Hospitality often begins before an invitation is sent. It begins when a couple notices that another person may need company, a meal, or a place to feel welcome. A generous home pays attention beyond its own routine.
Talk together about what you can reasonably offer. A simple meal at a suitable time can serve someone well. The purpose is welcome, so the preparation should not leave one spouse carrying an unfair burden while the other enjoys being a generous host.
Share the work and keep expectations modest. A guest should not have to admire the house, repay the invitation, or fit comfortably into your usual social circle before receiving kindness.
The Lord has given His people opportunities to care for one another through ordinary means. A chair, a bowl of soup, and patient conversation can become useful gifts. You do not need a larger dining room before learning to notice who might be encouraged by a place in the one you have. Let hospitality grow from shared love and sensible capacity, with both spouses participating in the care being offered.
Keep the passage in context
Paul includes sharing with needy believers and practicing hospitality among the ordinary expressions of Christian love. Care becomes visible through practical provision.
