A Body Is Not a Score

Pictures can make appearance feel like a public score that is always being updated. You may begin judging your worth by comparison, approval, or a detail nobody else seems to notice as much as you do.

Psalm 139 directs us toward God's knowledge and creative work. You are not an accident whose value must be supplied by an audience. Illness, disability, and physical differences do not remove a person's dignity.

Care for your body responsibly, but refuse contempt toward it. Seek appropriate help when a concern becomes consuming. Treat other people with the same dignity you need yourself. The verse is not a promise of a perfect appearance or effortless health. It is a reason to honor the Creator and the life He has made.
