The Foundation Is Already Given

There is a temptation to treat Christian life as a project you design for yourself. You collect habits, choose a few encouraging sayings, and hope the finished result will be strong enough. Scripture begins with a foundation already given in Jesus Christ.

He is not one useful part among several competing ways to God. He is the Saviour who died and rose again, and no other foundation can replace Him. Church activity, family background, and personal effort cannot bear the weight of your salvation.

Once you belong to Him through faith, pay attention to what you build upon that foundation. Sound teaching, honest service, and obedient living matter. Activities should be evaluated by whether they agree with His Word, not simply by whether they are popular or busy.

You are young enough to develop many habits that will remain useful for years. Build carefully now. Learn the gospel, become grounded in Scripture, and serve in a faithful local church with wise guidance. A building can be attractive and still rest on the wrong support. Let Christ remain central in both what you believe and how you choose to live.
