The Last Red Pencil

Grace reached for the red pencil just as Theo did. She wanted it for a flower. Theo needed it to finish the fire truck he had promised to draw for their little brother.
Grace still wanted the pencil. Then she noticed that she could color her leaves while Theo finished his truck. She passed it over and picked up the green one.
Paul teaches God's people to care about others, not only themselves. Grace's flower mattered, but it was not the only picture on the table. Looking at someone else's need helped her find a kind choice.
Notice one person beside you today. You may already have something useful to share.

Paul calls believers to humility and concern for others as he teaches unity in the church. The following verses direct attention to Christ's humility. This instruction is not a command to regard another person's sin as right.
