Ella heard a thump upstairs while she was reading. Her heart beat quickly. She went to her mother instead of creeping up alone.
Together they found the cat beside a fallen cushion. Ella laughed, but her mother did not make fun of her fear. They picked up the cushion and went back downstairs.
David knew what it was to feel afraid. He trusted God when fear came. You can trust God too, and you can tell a trusted grown-up when something frightens you. Faith does not mean pretending to be brave or walking into danger alone.
God hears you when your voice feels small.
