The Seed in the Cup
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Poppy planted a bean in a clear cup. The next morning she wanted to dig it up to see whether it was growing.
Dad helped her place the cup by the window and keep the soil damp. Several days later, a green shoot appeared. Poppy had work to do while she waited, but pulling at the seed would not help.
God's Word teaches us to wait patiently for Him. Waiting does not always mean doing nothing. We can keep doing the right tasks while we leave the timing with God.
Be faithful with today's job. Some things need time that you cannot hurry.

David counsels trust and patient waiting when evildoers appear to prosper. Resting in the LORD is not approval of wrongdoing. It keeps resentment and comparison from governing the faithful person's response.
