A Seat Saved

When Aaron returned after being ill, he worried that his friends had forgotten him. His work had piled up, and he still felt tired.
At lunch, one friend moved a bag from a chair. The place had been saved for him. His difficulties were not over, but that small kindness helped him face the afternoon.
God's mercies are not proof that life contains no sorrow. Lamentations speaks of them while grief is still present. The Lord remains faithful through days that are unfinished and hard.
Receive the good He provides without pretending every concern is settled. You can also become a source of practical kindness to someone who needs help with today's burden.
Keep the passage in context
These words of hope occur amid grief over Jerusalem's devastation. God's mercy is praised in real sorrow, not after all trouble has vanished. His faithfulness does not depend on an easy day.
