Work That Does Not Need an Audience

An unfinished task can become a much larger problem when we keep walking past it. Proverbs uses the ant to show wise preparation. Nobody needs to stand over it and repeat the instruction.

For you, diligence may mean packing your bag before bed, beginning an assignment early, or putting borrowed equipment away properly. It does not mean working without rest or pretending you never need help. It means taking responsibility for the work you can reasonably do.

Choose a task you have been delaying and take the first practical step. Break a large job into smaller parts if necessary. Faithfulness often begins before anyone is watching and before the deadline makes delay painful.
