Help from the Maker

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2 KJV
Psalm 121 looks beyond the hills to the Lord who made heaven and earth. The landscape may be impressive, but creation is not the believer's source of help. The Creator is.
That distinction matters when a problem feels larger than you. A difficult assignment, a family change, or a frightening appointment may show how little you can control. The Lord's power and care do not shrink to the size of your own resources.
Trusting Him does not mean refusing ordinary help. A parent, teacher, doctor, or faithful church member may provide assistance you need. Receive good help gratefully and remember the Lord above every human helper. You do not have to understand His whole plan to depend on Him. The One who made the world knows your place in it and is worthy of your trust today.
Bring the truth into your day
The hills lead the singer's attention to the Lord who made heaven and earth. The help is in the Creator, not in the hills themselves. Read the whole psalm and notice its confidence in His keeping care. When a difficulty comes, take responsible action and receive wise assistance. Trusting God does not require rejecting help from people. It gives gratitude and perspective as you use the help available.
