The First Day Again

Daniel had changed schools, and he stood outside the classroom holding his bag tightly. He knew where to go, but he did not know anyone inside. His teacher noticed and walked in with him.

Later, Daniel read Psalm 56:3 with his father. He was glad David had written about being afraid. The verse did not sound like a person pretending everything was easy.

Trusting God does not require waiting until your nervous feelings disappear. Bring the fear to Him and take the next wise step. Ask for help when you need it. Daniel still felt nervous, but he could enter the room without believing he had to handle the whole day by himself.
