While You Wait
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psalm 37:7 KJV
Waiting is harder when someone else seems to get what you wanted first. You may be tempted to complain, cheat, or decide that doing right is pointless. Psalm 37 addresses that kind of pressure.
Resting in the LORD does not mean that unfairness is good. It means God remains trustworthy when the timing is difficult to understand. You do not have to borrow a wrong method to reach a good goal.
Keep the responsibility that is already yours. Practise, prepare, ask for help, and be honest. Refuse to turn another person's opportunity into a reason for resentment. Your next faithful step still matters, even while the answer you want has not arrived.

David counsels trust and patient waiting when evildoers appear to prosper. Resting in the LORD is not approval of wrongdoing. It keeps resentment and comparison from governing the faithful person's response.
