A Dream Observed

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Scripture Review
The second dream reaches beyond the field. The sun, moon, and eleven stars bow before Joseph. Jacob rebukes him, and the brothers envy him, but Jacob also observes the saying. He does not understand how it could happen, yet he does not throw it away. That small word, observed, matters. There are times when I cannot explain a passage or a providence, but I can keep it before the Lord instead of rejecting it.
Joseph now has two dreams pointing in the same direction, but nothing around him looks like the promise. He is still the younger brother at home. The dreams give certainty without giving a schedule. God often gives enough light for faith while withholding enough detail to keep me dependent. If Joseph had seen the pit, slavery, accusation, and prison in advance, he might have stared at the road instead of the God who would walk it with him.
The brothers answered the dream with envy, and Jacob answered first with rebuke because the future described seemed impossible and unsettling.
God was confirming what He had already shown. The repeated dream established a purpose that family disbelief could not erase.
What this asks of me
I do not have to pretend I understand everything God allows. I can observe His Word, hold it carefully, and wait for Him to make the next duty plain. Envy reacts quickly; faith can afford to listen. The question is not whether I can explain the whole road, but whether I will obey on the part I can see.
