More Opinions Are Not Always Wisdom

You can collect twenty opinions online and become less clear than when you began. Proverbs commends counsel, but volume alone does not make advice wise. The character and knowledge of the adviser matter.

Seek someone who can hear the situation fairly, tell you an uncomfortable truth, and respect Scripture. Give that person the facts, including the details that do not favor you. An edited account usually produces advice for a different problem.

Do not use counsel as a way to transfer every responsibility to someone else. Learn from it and make the right decision with the help available. If there is danger, seek appropriate protection promptly. Wisdom includes knowing when a matter needs more experience than you currently possess.
