The Wobbly Chair
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

Jacob wanted to fix the little chair himself. He turned one screw, but the chair still wobbled. He was about to use glue when he asked Grandpa to look.
Grandpa found a loose part underneath. They repaired it together and tested the chair carefully before anyone sat down. Jacob had learned something he could not see from above.
Proverbs teaches the value of good advice. Asking for help does not mean you are foolish. It can be the wise thing to do when you do not understand a job.
Find a trusted grown-up when something needs knowledge you do not yet have.

Proverbs commends counsel because isolated judgment can miss important facts. The value lies in wise counsel, not simply collecting many opinions. Advice must still be weighed against Scripture and truth.
Read the KJV passage aloud. Explain unfamiliar words in ordinary language without changing the quotation.
