Good Does Not Mean Easy
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 is sometimes used as though it promises a pleasant ending to every difficult day. Read the surrounding verses carefully. Paul speaks about suffering, weakness, hope, and God's purpose for His people.
The good God is working is connected with becoming like Christ. That is deeper than getting every result we want. A painful event is still painful, and some reasons remain beyond our understanding.
You can trust God without inventing a happy explanation for someone else's sorrow. Offer help, listen, and speak gently. The promise belongs to God's faithful work, not to our ability to understand every part of it. Keep doing the right thing you can see while trusting Him with what you cannot.
Keep the passage in context
The promise is addressed to those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Verse 29 connects that purpose with conformity to Christ. The passage does not call every event good or promise immediate comfort.
