More Than a Comparison
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Psalm 139:14 KJV
It is easy to notice what is different about your body and decide that different means less valuable. Psalm 139:14 points your attention toward the Creator instead of a contest between appearances.
God's workmanship gives people dignity. The verse does not promise that every person will have the same abilities or be free from illness. It does teach us to treat life with reverence rather than contempt.
Speak kindly about your own body and the bodies of others. Ask for help with health concerns instead of carrying them alone. Refuse jokes that turn a difference into a label. A person is someone to know and love, not an appearance to rank.
Keep the passage in context
David praises God as his Creator in a psalm about God's complete knowledge and presence. Human dignity rests in God's workmanship. The verse does not imply that every body will be free from illness or disability.
