Enough Light for the Next Faithful Step

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105 KJV
Couples often want a complete map before making a difficult decision. We would like to know how the choice will affect work, family, finances, and every year that follows. Much of that information is not available to us.
God's Word gives dependable light for what He requires. It tells us to be truthful, faithful, loving, and wise. Those clear duties should govern the next step even when the full outcome remains unknown.
Gather relevant information, seek sound counsel, and discuss the practical effects together. Do not claim a private certainty from God simply to end your spouse's questions. A preference should be named honestly as a preference.
You may still face uncertainty after careful consideration. Trust the Lord while doing what can responsibly be done. His Word has not failed because it does not supply a detailed forecast. It gives a sound path for conduct. A marriage can move forward faithfully without pretending to see every turn ahead. Begin with the light already given, and keep your heart willing to obey as further responsibilities become clear.
